Start Date for Deleting Cloud Recordings Postponed to March 1, 2027
Regarding Zoom accessed via UTokyo Account, the retention period for cloud recordings is currently unlimited; however, since June 2026, we have announced plans to change this setting to a uniform retention period of 3 years starting October 1, 2026. Under this change, cloud recordings were to be retained for up to 3 years from their creation date, and recordings older than 3 years were scheduled to be deleted sequentially.
However, because explanations regarding the scope of target files for deletion and backup procedures were not sufficiently clear, we will postpone the start date for deleting cloud recordings to March 1, 2027.
Further details, including how to verify files subject to deletion and how to back them up, will continue to be provided via the utelecon portal site.
